The bike rack arrived within 2 business days as promised by Melissa. Install was straight forward. We drove with two bikes 4000 miles and had absolutely no issues. We used the adhesive recommended in the instructions and had absolutely no problems with dispensing the adhesive (as sometimes mentioned in the reviews).
The Thule Elite Van XT2 Bike Rack is just what I expected but the install instructions leave something to be desired. Nothing but pictures trying to describe the install. Even a few poorly worded sentences would have been helpful in some places. I have seen this noted in other reviews and [online].
Otherwise a quality product and I have been able to integrate it with my Kuat swing arm and bike rack that we were already using. I wanted to be able to add a 3rd bike to our setup without extending the length and still be able to open the rear doors without removing a bike. This all worked out with just a little modification. I did move the Thule bike rail install point 1.5" above the center install position to allow clearance over my wife's ebike. See photos.
This is the 2nd time I have purchased this bike rack and it a good fit for the Sprinter van. The rack is sturdy and pretty easy to load while not taking up a lot of space. It does take a couple of days to install due to drying times on the adhesives for the rails that mount to the door.

The bike rack seems very good and sturdy. It arrived right on time as well. We're still in the process of putting it on. 4 stars only because the directions are so bad - we had to find out what products and sealants to buy on our own.
Almost the perfect bike rack for the Promaster. No complaints after a year of use. Thousands of miles with road bikes, gravel bikes, and modern mountain bikes on there and no problems that weren't my own.
And if you are creative, you can use the rack for other things, like carry a storage box or traction tracks.
Well worth the money if you want to keep your hitch free for other things.

A few years with the Thule rack and its still a good bang for the buck. But there are better options out there now vs a few years ago, for a bit more money but greater versatility. I wouldnt buy the Thule now. I would invest in a door mounting system where you can mount bikes and other things on the door.

The Thule Elite Van Bike Rack is near perfect for my Winnebago Travato ProMaster van. The spare tire on the Aluminess carrier makes for a tight fit in the bike rack middle section but all in all functions fine. I am totally pleased with the rack and your company.
Works great! Folds up nicely when not in use. Bikes are on solidly, and don’t touch the van or each other. The bikes are also completely behind the van, well protected. Both bikes mount on one door, allowing the door to swing open with bikes on it. We did put a small piece of climbing webbing between the van body and the door to prevent the door from swinging all the way around and hitting the side of the van. The rack would otherwise hit the tail light.
It was a bit tricky to find the glue needed (see photo, product available on [online vendor]). Make sure you have a strong caulking gun because the glue is hard to get out.
Great bike rack! Fits the van perfectly. Easy to install.

After owning the rack for a year I took a trip cross country eventhiygh the knobs on my rack where tight when inledt one unscrewed and I lost the part that holds the top together and Incan nkt get the extra part to replace it. Can't remove the rack as is been glued down - not very happy

Kimberly, I’m really sorry this happened, especially while you were on a trip. I know how frustrating that must have been. I did reach out to Thule on your behalf, and they let us know that this issue wouldn’t be covered under warranty. The replacement part you’ll need is the Replacement 3-Wing Hand Knob with Nut for Thule Bike Racks, Black, 2-Piece Set # TH34FR58NX. They also shared a bit of additional guidance that may help going forward. Even when everything is tightened properly before travel, long trips and road conditions can cause connection points to loosen over time. Thule recommends checking the rack after the first 50 km, which is about 30 miles, and then inspecting it at regular intervals after that to make sure everything stays secure. Again, I’m very sorry this happened during your trip.

We love our bike rack. We mounted it to our RV ladder and it works really well. The bikes load and unload quickly so we have minimal time lost fighting with getting ready to go. The bikes travel well with no contact with each other. I could not be happier!
So far this is a great rack. Its fully adjustable, holds the bikes firmly,allows the door to swing out with bike loaded,and pares down when not using by removing bike trays. This rack with even one bike loaded WILL place stress on door hinges. Lifting up when using the door loaded helps.Also, we installed a cable to the door top to prevent it from swinging too far open when loaded with bikes. It can be difficult to fit 2 bikes depending on the handlebar configuration.
This is the only bike rack for my Ram Promaster which is about e ground and allows the rear doors to open completely. Recommended!!

Still working great, I use it consistently in the summer with 2 bikes, in Colorado, without any issues. I am grateful it for it.
I think the quality of this bike rack is excellent. Thule makes great products. This one mounts on my Promaster van. I don't know that I needed to buy the special adhesive to mount the rack so I have to wait till I receive that product. If I knew in advance that it was not included but needed I would have acquired it in advance. Not a big deal but would be good for purchasers to know. All good.

Excellent service from etrailer, even arrived sooner than promised. Unfortunately the tape on the shipping box was broken on 3 sides, so I just had to lie it down to open it. Fortunately nothing had fallen out during shipping.

Love the way it fits the van. My only complaint, the locking knobs often dont lock or unlock without a lot of fiddling with the key.

Been using it for 5 mos now. No problem so far. Its just a bit awkward to unload bikes
Expensive, but worth the cost! Easy to install with clear instructions. Folds away cleanly when not in use, you can use the shorter bike latch to secure the folded rack in place more easily than the included strap. The only problem I've had is that if you're about 6' tall, with the rack in the highest position it's just above your sightline but squarely in "crack you in the forehead" range, so keep that in mind when deciding which height to use.
Worst packaging and directions. I can NOT believe this is actually a Thule product. And the fact that etrailer did not suggest/provide and option for the necessary adhesive is simply a lack of product knowledge and service. Shame on both.

I checked the instructions for the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack # TH302013 and it states that you should use one of the following adhesives: Dekalin MS 5, SIKA 252 or Terostat MS937
So far, so good. I haven't had a chance to install this bike rack on my Winnebago Solis 59PX, but was impressed with the packaging, the instructions, and the quality of the materials. It appears to be a well-designed product and I feel comfortable that it will be sturdy enough to securely carry two bikes. The service I received from etrailer.com was also excellent. They shipped the order very quickly and provided detailed tracking information every step of the way.
This Thule bike rack has held up well, and we use it on every trip. E trailer was a hassle free way to buy the bike rack, and I appreciate their friendly and helpful customer service.

I got an electric bike now ant cannot lift it on to the rack. I now ratchet the bike up to the rack. Do you make a lift rack for heavier bikes?
